Publish tasks to Altus

Publishing sends tasks from the connected Microsoft Project file to the Altus Tasks tab.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Microsoft Project file linked to an Altus project
  • An active connection to Altus
  • Permission to publish tasks

If the Microsoft Project file is not linked yet, see Link Microsoft Project to Altus.

What publishing does

Publishing creates or updates the task data in Altus Tasks from the connected Microsoft Project file.

After publishing:

  • Tasks are visible in the Altus Tasks app
  • Tasks are shown in read-only mode in Altus
  • The project displays the link indicator on the Details tab

Publish the Microsoft Project file to Altus

  1. In Microsoft Project, open the Altus ribbon.

  2. Click Publish To Altus.

The publish process begins.

The Processing Tasks window displays the progress of the publish.

  1. When the publish process is complete, click Close.

Check the published tasks in Altus

After publishing, open the project in Altus.

You should see:

  • The tasks in the Altus Tasks app
  • The link indicator on the Details tab
