Supported Languages
Altus currently supports English as its primary interface language. The translation infrastructure is in place, and additional languages will be added progressively.
Current Language Support
| Language | Platform UI | Altus Custom Components |
|---|---|---|
| English | ✅ Supported | ✅ Supported |
| All other languages | ✅ Supported (via Dynamics 365 language packs) | ❌ Not yet available |
The Dynamics 365 platform UI — including navigation, system labels, standard forms, and views — supports over 40 languages via language packs. However, Altus custom components (dashboards, timesheets, financial views, and other specialised controls) currently display labels and text in English only.
Translation Infrastructure
Altus has established the foundational infrastructure for multi-language support:
- All custom component labels are externalized into resource files, ready for translation.
- A translation management workflow is in place to manage translations at scale.
- The Dynamics 365 platform supports the following language codes, which Altus is working toward:

Note
The list above represents languages supported by the Dynamics 365 platform. Altus custom component translations will be added progressively based on customer demand. Vote for your preferred language on our Product Board.
How Language Selection Works
- Platform language — An administrator installs a Dynamics 365 language pack. Users then select their preferred language in Personalisation Settings. This controls the platform UI.
- Custom component language — Altus custom components will automatically use the user's selected Dynamics 365 language when translations are available. No additional configuration is required.
Request a Language
If your organisation requires Altus custom component support in a specific language, please submit an idea on Product Board. Votes help us prioritise which languages to translate first.
