New and Improved:

    Export menu demonstration
  • #8576: The [+ New] button has enhanced visibility, and its availability can now be customised based on specific roles in an organisation. Configuration in settings can limit who has access to to the feature and, if disabled, will only be available to Altus Admin users. This provides greater control and a smoother experience in managing timesheets.
  • #11543: Finance Grid: In Grid Editing. Any cells available to be entered or updated by the user can now be filled in from within the grid itself. Cells can be navigated through using the arrow keys (up/down/left/right) as well as using Enter, Shift-Enter and Tab, Shift-Tab keys.
Finance Grid - In Grid editing demonstration
  • #16662: On the Project Table/Entity, the Project Manager field will now apply business logic to reassign the project owner to the selected person. This has been done to simplify the ownership process post creation and update. If required this can be disabled in configuration settings.
  • #17872: Financials: Duplicate behaviour of up/down arrows + shift/enter behaviour as in 8717 to transactions
  • #17880: Portfolios: List view - Ensure rollup % is correct - Re-labeling Display Names
  • #19198: Finance Grid: General Usability Enhancements including:
    • Support for ungrouped mode and ability for category column to be visible
    • Default view is ungrouped
    • Styling changes
    • Totals moved to bottom of grid
    • Totals of visible columns removed (as these could be misinterpreted)
      Finance Grid - Ungrouping demonstration
  • #19199: Finance Grid: Custom columns can now be added to the Finance Grid. The grid will leverage the view that is passed to it by its Dynamics context. These new columns will also be supported in the Finance Grid export.
  • #19228: Resources: Removal of %FTE mode. The %FTE mode of viewing resources has been removed as it was prone to misinterpretation and confusion, especially when being totalled. It was also somewhat redundant as the figures were identical to the FTE mode (which remains), only converted to a percentage.
  • #19439: Within the Project Status Update page, users now have the ability to refresh the KPIs on the page and allow them to recalculate. This feature can also be locked so that data cannot be refreshed once this update has been completed. More information on this feature can be found here.

  • #19935: Updated the Program Effort tooltip to say "Duration completed by all projects in this program".

  • Click here to see a collection of visual changes in the financial grid. This includes the spreadsheet like experience.

Bug

Fixes:

  • #15549: When finishing the Idea Process, the Approval Process is now automatically triggered. To ensure the Approval Process runs correctly, the Sponsor field has been added to the Selection Stage of the Idea Process.
  • #18859: New UI: Fixed an issue where, on a Timesheets page, the buttons could appear off the page.
  • #19005: New UI: Fixed an issue where, on the Resource Demand screen, the buttons could appear off the page.
  • #19158: Fixed an issue where searching for a resource with an '&' in the name when assigning resources to Project Task will cause infinite spinner.
  • #19205: Fixed an issue where 2 tooltips are displayed for long resource names in Project Task Details.
  • #19206: Fixed an issue where so the form now properly updates saved state and displays unsaved dialog when updating resources. Previously, when editing a task and adding or removing a resource, the form incorrectly remained in the 'Saved' state. With this fix, the form now correctly changes to the 'Unsaved' state after adding or removing a resource, and an unsaved dialog will appear when closing the form, ensuring changes are not lost unintentionally.
  • #19464: Fixed an issue where creating a second child task using Altus scheduling tool causes blank screen.
  • #19573: Fixed an issue where adding a resource without effort was not functioning correctly. Additionally, we have fixed an error where toggling the milestone status did not update the task type display properly. Furthermore, when entering 0 for effort in tasks, unless in fixed duration mode, the duration will now be set to 0 and thus automatically converting the task into a milestone.
  • #19899: Updated the Program Effort tooltip to say "Effort completed by all projects in this program"
  • #19914: Fix for a scenario where the main landing page wouldn't load or appear blank for some customers.
  • #19933: Fixed an issue where Settings pages were not loading data intermittently.

New and Improved:

  • #19176: We've made 8 hours the default number of hours in a day (previously 7.5hrs). We've also included further information and a warning when the default numbers of hours per day is not a whole number and the precision is zero due to the fact that in this scenario rounding of hours can cause display issues in the Resource Plan.

  • #16032: We've introduced the ability to assign resources in the Resource Demand screen based on the individual's capacity as determined by their enterprise calendar. To use this, select 'Capacity (%)' mode in the grid. See below a screenshot of the new Capacity (%) mode.

  • #19061: A very minor bug where clearing the default form selection in settings causes the edit/add buttons in the period summary form to not function properly.
  • #19062: We've resolved an issue where the Resource Demand Grid autofill button behaves inconsistently, this was due to the logic not treating zero as valid submitted number.
  • #19350: We fixed an issue where Custom KPIs were not showing correctly in some scenarios due to incorrect merging of default configuration.
